Aastrid Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd. started its manufacturing operations of Speciality Chemicals and Pharmaceutical intermediates at Mahad, Maharashtra, India in 2012. We at Aastrid Life Sciences believe that to achieve manufacturing excellence a strong team should be backed up by good engineering and motivational working environment.
Our new plant is designed to optimise quality and safety and to maximise our contributions to sustainability. It empowers us to deliver superior speciality chemicals and API manufacturing solutions while ensuring the highest levels of quality, safety, and environmental stewardship.

Ravindra Jagtap is the Managing Director of Aastrid Life Sciences. He is the Founder of Aastrid International, the principal company in the Aastrid group. He was instrumental in changing the fortunes of the company, taking Aastrid from a local presence to a highly regarded international firm with a strong customer base in more than 50 countries. In the year 2011, he founded Aastrid Life sciences in a strategic move to manufacture pharmaceutical intermediates and speciality chemicals with an emphasis on R & D, innovation and cost efficiency.
Leveraging his experience of 30+ years in Marketing and Business Development, he now oversees all aspects of this rapidly growing company which has built a reputation for innovation, high quality and consistent delivery. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and before founding Aastrid, has worked in several senior management positions, including SBU Head at Klueber Lubrication, Germany.
Anupama Jagtap is a Director and Founding Member of both Aastrid International and Aastrid Life Sciences. She has been an integral part of the senior management of the Aastrid group right from inception. She has a strong background in international business operations and considerable experience of more than 25 years in Business Development, Supply Chain and Human Resource Management. Her exceptional interpersonal skills have led to a great track record of building high-performance teams and aligning diverse business functions to a common shared vision. She excels in facilitating strategic plan development aligned to business goals and delivery.
She now provides leadership and strategic guidance in multiple areas including Corporate Governance, Human Resource Management, CSR and Business Development.She holds a Master’s of Science degree and has worked in various senior executive roles.

CSR activities are an extension of our culture at Aastrid Lifesciences that is built up around compassion and empathy.
Health care in remote areas
First free vaccination camp was conducted in Adivasi areas of Mahad, Maharashtra, India for protection against COVID. Record 650 people were vaccinated in one day.
Second free vaccination camp was conducted in the same area for the second COVID dose.
Rural development projects
Complete water system consisting of borewell, water pump, water tanks and pipeline was established in a remote Adivasi hamlet in Mahad area of Maharashtra, India, where the nearest water source was 2 km away.
Street lighting was provided by establishing electrical poles, cables and LED lights in the remote Adivasi hamlet in Mahad area of Maharashtra, India.
Waste disposal vehicle was provided to Amshet Village in Mahad, Maharashtra, India to improve the sanitation in the area.
Education to under privileged
Bicycles were provided to Adivasi students of school in remote areas of Mahad, Maharashtra, India, living in areas where transportation is not available and they have to walk long distances to travel to school. This reduces the work load on students and increases their attendance.
Two fully furnished class rooms were constructed for Adivasi children school in remote areas of Mahad, Maharashtra, India so that the school can start higher education for Class XI and XII.
Scholarship was provided to 3 students of College of Engineering, Pune to facilitate education to bright students of economically backward families.
Care for senior citizens
Rations and medicines are provided to an old age home at Koperkhaine, Navi Mumbai, Mahashtra, India every month.
